The Parish Development Model is a government-led initiative in Uganda aimed at transforming subsistence households into the money economy and lifting 17.5 million Ugandans in 3.5 million households out of poverty.

The Sacco Chairpersons, Parish chiefs and Community development officers are attending a one day PDM review and planning meeting in lukhobo hall at the district headquarters in Malukhu.
The meeting is organised by the commercial office in conjunction with district production and marketing officer as the focal person for PDM.

 

.    DPMO MBALE DISTRICT 
Wanakin George Davidson affirmed the findings saying the funds disbursed stands at 98.75% with over 90 PDM SACCOs including 2,175 vibrant enterprise groups.
14 Sub counties and three town councils are direct beneficiaries walloping a total of 23,063,070,372 as projected though apparently, 22,741,070,372 amounts have been successfully disbursed.
District production and marketing officer, Wanakina George Davidson wayed an appeal to the parish chiefs to involve Local council ones during assessments to determine who qualifies and those in civil service.

 

 

This was echoed as an effort to select beneficiaries who can embrace the program with enterprises which have chain added value in the long term.
